Welcome  Woodlawn Learning Center Families and Friends, 

My name is Veronica Moore, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Woodlawn Learning Center, home of the Lion Cubs. At Woodlawn, we take great pride in being the starting point of academic and personal growth for the youngest learners in the Hopewell City Public Schools district—because we believe that "Hope Starts Here."

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and effective child development program that meets the emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of over 300 preschool children and their families. “Under One Roof”, our center houses three essential programs—Head Start, Virginia Preschool Initiative, and Early Childhood Special Education. Additionally, we offer adult education classes on select days and evenings, further supporting lifelong learning within our community.

At Woodlawn, we are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child feels seen, heard, and loved. We believe that a strong partnership between school and home is essential for each child's success. Your involvement—whether through volunteering, attending family meetings, or supporting learning at home—plays a vital role in shaping your child's educational journey.
